Questions
Is it really free? What's the catch?
Yes. Filling and downloading your form is free for individuals. We plan to offer paid tools for schools and companies to track deadlines — never to sell your data, which we don't have.
Is this legal? Isn't this the job of a 行政書士?
You are the applicant and you fill in your own form — like using tax software. We don't prepare or submit documents on anyone's behalf. For complex cases (past refusals, criminal records, change of status), talk to a licensed 行政書士 or lawyer.
Do you see or store my passport details?
No. Answers are saved only in your browser (you can switch this off or delete everything). The PDF is created on your phone. Our security settings technically block the page from sending your data anywhere.
Will immigration accept a printed form?
Yes — we fill the official Ministry of Justice template, the same PDF you would download from their website. You sign and date it by hand.
What about the 2026 fee increase and new residence cards?
Built in. From 1 Oct 2026 the renewal fee depends on the period granted (¥10,000–¥75,000). Cards issued from 14 June 2026 no longer print the period of stay — we tell you where to find it.
